Jill Davies' formulas dominate the range at Herbs Hands Healing Ltd. She has practised Herbal Medicine since 1982 and prior to this time she ran a 3-acre walled garden herb farm and simple herb shop in Suffolk. Her background is in Horticulture and she trained at The Royal Botanic Kew and The Royal Horticulture Society, Wisely. Plant Chemistry and more were part of this training and this laid a foundation for plant use and led her finally to train in Herbal Medicine both in Britain and America. It was Dr. Christopher, Richard Schulze and Christopher Hobbs in America who proved to be her greatest and most influential teachers. Instilled at the very beginning was not just quality of patient care but also of the herbs themselves. For the herbs to work they needed to be of the highest quality at origin, (correctly identified), produced in the best way possible (organically grown) or collected in the wild from sustainable sources and all given at the correct dose. This ethos still pervades this herb house and her clinics. |
