Introduction:
Our fully trained staff in dispensaries make our in house formulas, compounds and combinations. Some of the formulas originate from Dr. John Christopher (1909 to 1982) the famous American Herbalist, which makes their usage date back some 70 years. Other formula have plants in them that date back 150 years to Jill Davies's Great Great Grandfathers legacy. He ran a herbal apothecary in Beccles, Norfolk.
Jill Davies is the full time consultant to Herbs Hands Healing Ltd and her formulas dominate the range with the help of her colleagues Dr. Richard Schulze and Christopher Hobbs. It has to be realised that while formulae longevity has safety value, another vital focus is modern day efficacy. |

"We ONLY use good quality organic (75%), wild crafted (15%) and conventionally grown (10%) herbs and tinctures. We do not use any Irradiated Herbs and avoid all known animal testing." All the medicines are made from correctly identified plants and from the correct part of the plant. Correct storage, processing and labelling are paramount."

Herbal Combinations
The herbal formulae we offer are combinations of plants which we have been using for the last 20 years at our natural healing and herbal clinic and for over 70 years in some cases by our founder, Dr. Christopher.
Some are simply classic European combinations used for hundreds of years.
These herbal formulae are blended, adding minute and vibrational amounts (0.02% - 0.04%) of essential oils. Using many herbs mixed together is an ancient way of providing medicine and nutrition and has been practised for centuries.
These formulae come in several forms; capsules, powders, tinctures and syrups.
Ancient man in pre-farming days would have gathered and eaten many herbs within a day, ingesting over time hundreds, rather than the modern twenty or so species within the four seasons of the year, many of them would have been dried and stored for use throughout the year. This produced a symphony of chemistries with a rainbow of effects, so that where many organs and systems are involved in creating an imbalance (chronic or acute), this could be addressed. |
Combined with correct dosage, high standards on manufacturing, and focussed, well-researched modern formulae make the Herbs Hands Healing range highly effective.

What are Herbal Tinctures?
Tinctures are fresh or dried organic plants steeped in alcohol and spring water. The usual proportions of fluid to herb when making tinctures is 5 litres of fluid to one or two kilo of herb. Finally they are tested for quality, strength and non-contamination before use.The average amount of alcohol used is around 25% (but sometimes, 45% and occasionally 75% is needed). If this amount presents a problem, it can be greatly reduced (98.5%) by adding boiling water to evaporate the alcohol and then drinking the mix, warm or cold, after 7 minutes.

"Tinctures are a 'handy' way of taking herbs. They can be easily carried in pockets or a handbag, taken as drops straight onto the tongue or preferably diluted with water, fruit juice, or even rice milk." |
