Flavonoids
Phenolic glycosides, including salicin
Fatty acids
Medicinal Use:
Antibacterial
Expectorant
Antiseptic
Anti-irritant
Vulnary
Dose:
Internally as cough syrup in base of vegetable glycerine.
Internally as infusion.
Externally as ointment.

Syrup - 0.5 (½) tablespoon 3 or 4 times daily.
Ointment use liberally.
D.H. Tincture. 1-2mls, 3 times daily.

usion. Pour 1 cup boiling water onto 2 teaspoons of bud and infuse for 10-15 minutes. 1 cup, 3 times daily (more if required).

Contraindications

1) Do not use this herb where there are allergies to aspirin, due to this herb's salicylates. S


2) This herb may reduce milk in nursing mothers.


3) The fresh herb may cause contact dermatitis. S
