Dose:
Leaf and gel for external use only.
Juice for internal use.
Juice 30 to 50ml daily dose.
Smaller doses have a stimulating effect on the upper digestive activities.
Larger doses have a laxative, purgative, emmenagogue and cooling effect.
Leaf and gel: apply liberally as required.

Contraindications

Aloe vera juice is entirely safe, even for pregnant women, as long as long as you ensure it is of good quality and that ALL aloin (the purgative bio-chemical from the sap) has been removed. Check that the label has the IASC seal of approval; however these may not always be available or organic.
