Medicinal Use:
Decongestant

Dose:
Tincture (cider vinegar)
F 2.5mls to 10mls/0.5 to 2 teaspoons, 2 or 3 times daily. GEM Infusion 2g in 150mls of water.
Contraindications
1) Do not use this herb where there is stomach/intestinal ulcers due to its stimulant effect on the mucosa.
2) Do not use this herb where there is kidney inflammation due to its strong diuretic effect.
3) Do not use with children under the age of 5 years, as this herb may cause intestinal disturbances.
4) Do not use this herb during pregnancy as large amounts may be arbortifacient.
5) Do not use excessive doses of this herb as it may depress thyroid function and irritate the kidneys.
6) Do not use this herb in excess heat conditions.
7) This herb may cause diarrhoea or nightsweats in sensitive people.
8) This herb may cause allergic reactions if used externally in sensitive people.
