Introduction:
Excess perspiration, hunger without satiety, agitation, heart palpitations, menstrual difficulties, fast metabolism of food and even goitre can all indicated an over-active thyroid gland. A test will be vital to provide accurate diagnosis. See also Thyroid. Nutritional Advice: Ground and support the body with 'earthy' foods like barley, rice, millet, quinoa and all the root vegetables, particularly the sweeter ones like carrot, parsnip and sweet potato. Also eat plenty of cabbage, brussel sprouts, cauliflower, kale, mustard greens and watercress to suppress excess thyroid hormone production. Try eating six small meals rather than three large meals a day. Avoid all stimulants including tea, coffee, alcohol etc. Try reducing wheat and dairy intake for 3 months to see if these additionally helps. Herb Quality:
A large proportion of our herbs are grown in English soils, harvested using bio-chemistry analysis and many but not always, processed fresh, which heightens their remedial properties. The majority are grown organically and or sustainably wild-crafted. All manufacturing is carried out using licensed good manufacturing practice.
