Introduction:
A goitre is thyroid gland enlargement. A goitre shows as a swelling of the neck in the shape of a bandage. It can be caused by thyroiditis, iodine deficiency, benign thyroid nodules or any other condition causing hyperfunction (or even under function).
It can also be a result of a generally low functioning glandular system and even more specifically of adrenal components attacking thyroid components due to an autoimmune reaction.
Nutritional Advice: Synthetic iodine should not be used, as the side effects of iodine salt can be very undesirable. Natural Healing:
Use the castor oil pack over the goitre to help reduce the size. |
