Angina

Introduction:

Heart pain felt in the chest is called angina, the heart's is mirroring its ability to receive enough oxygen in order to maintain its continuous pumping. Muscle spasms often occur simply through lack of calcium but exercise, plaque, stress, high cholesterol, and clots can all conspire to narrow a vital blood vessel and interrupt flow of blood, with its vital oxygen, to the heart. When mildly constricted, angina pains ensue, but if not corrected, a heart episode could follow. For serious conditions then your GP will advise but support diet and more can be enormously helpful.

Simply put, constricted vessels need immediate dilation to allow more blood through and long term fatty or calcium deposits must be cleared, otherwise surgery can be a last resort. See circulation for general advice for a healthy circulatory system.

Nutritional Advice:

Avoid coffee, tea, alcohol, cooked hot spices, oily foods especially fats like polyunsaturated margarine. Use instead virgin olive oil, either low heated (i.e., not above 90°F) or raw. Avoid pastries, cakes, biscuits as these all also contain trans fatty acids. Avoid red and fatty meats and heavy dairy products. Try rice or soya milk.

Consume lots of garlic - at least two fat cloves of garlic for lunch and two for supper. Lots of leeks, onions and spring onions will also be important as they have similar components.

Garlic bulbs

Take evening primrose seed oil or blackcurrant seed oil (GLA). The omega 3, 6 & 9 in these help balance the effect of transfatty acid damage.

If you usually feel cold, add cayenne powder to your food. 1/2 teaspoon daily. If you like, add tumeric powder to assist artery clearing and to help reduce fatty cholesterol deposits.

Natural Healing:

Exercise, but pace yourself. You will need expert help and guidance here, because overdoing it could be very dangerous; however taking no exercise could be equally dangerous. You need to find the correct medium for your own needs. Start with gentle walking and frequent rests and go with someone else in case any problems arise. Increase as your heart and chest pains allow. You could eventually walk alone but always let someone know you're out and roughly how long you intend to be. Eventually cycling and a wider variety of exercise may be possible. If smoking, quit - use hypnotherapy to assist if necessary.

Herb Quality:

A large proportion of our herbs are grown in English soils, harvested using bio-chemistry analysis and many but not always, processed fresh, which heightens their remedial properties. The majority are grown organically and or sustainably wild-crafted. All manufacturing is carried out using licensed good manufacturing practice.

DO NOT MIX HERBAL MEDICINE AND GP PRESCRIBED MEDICATION WITHOUT THE PRIOR KNOWLEDGE OF YOUR GP OR PRACTIONER
